Goal #3
Day 2 at the gym yesterday went well. I put in a 2.5 mile run afterward and despite feeling like I was standing still, I improved my time by a few seconds. Today I didn't do anything - ran a bunch of errands and went grocery shopping.
I'm debating about what to do tomorrow - run, workout, nothing? I'm towing with the idea of a 10 mile bike ride on Saturday so at a minimum I'm thinking it would be nice to get the workout out of the way tomorrow. Then I can get up leisurely on Saturday, laze around, and then put in my bike-ride sometime in the afternoon.
In terms of food, I'm starting to see a 3rd goal developing: consistently eating moderate amounts of food that is healthy for me. I've always been a fan of the food diet - where you eat pretty much anything but in moderation. So for example, yesterday was my anniversary and while my boyfriend is out of town, I decided to take myself out for dinner to celebrate. So I went to the restaurant where we had our first date and got a cheeseburger. I started out with the intention to stop eating when I was full but I was so close to finishing the burger when I started feeling full, I decided to finish it. Talk about ways sabotage weight loss! The other thing about it is I only tend to do this when I eat out. I think I subconsciously feel like I'm wasting money if I don't finish the food since I'm paying for it. Yes, I think this is going to be my third goal.
